Summer's end

I was just taking a shower and getting ready for work but he didn't want to forget to write down that you two just had an old west type standoff. You stomped your foot and counted "two three four five!" After I tried to do the old parenting trick of counting to three to get you to stop hitting the tv screen.


You are playing with imaginary friends now. Right now they are based off of your current favorite show, Peppa pig. So you're helping Peppa and George climb up and down the slide. You accidentally stopped on the slide as you were sliding down and apologized to Peppa before helping her down again.

The above is a note I asked your mom to save so I could remember to post it to your blog a couple days ago. You were being "over 9000" cute again and I wanted to remember to post it to your blog.


SO, l haven't officially posted this to your blog yet - You are going to have a sister come 12/12/14 or so! Her name is Alexiel Lorraine Gray! One day you will have to go and look at my old Facebook account because I tend to post this stuff snippets at a time and then come back to it and summarize it here. Both accounts will give you a more complete picture of the timing of things!


You have been helping me sing "Twinkle Twinkle" little star and kissing mommy's tummy. As of right now she is 27 weeks.


We've noticed that you've taken a liking to Mr. Rogers! We play all the episodes off of Amazon Prime on the PS3. So your three TV interests appear to be Mr. Rogers, Peppa Pig, and Bubble Guppies.


Evidently you still remember your 2nd birthday and your Bubble Guppies cake. A little bit ago I was telling you it was Kitana's birthday just to be cute (it probably was around her birthday actually - we don't know for sure, just within a six-week range) and you immediately said "Birthday.... bubble guppies cake". I'm glad you enjoyed it so much you remember it so far down the road!


I posted an aw-dorable video mommy took of you interacting with Kira, our neighborhood kitty that stops by every now and then. You will have to watch it because it was just taken last night! Seriously, it's heart melting. You two seem to have taken a liking to each other. She is rubbing against you and you are telling her to stand back so you can open the door and when she meows you comfort and pet her and say "I's okay, Kira". <3


I have been tossing around whether I will integrate your sister to this blog or post a new one for her. I think I'm going to go for the latter because you two will have to share enough as it is and you each deserve your own space. So be on the looking for a counterpart blog for her when she comes around - this one is yours!


What else? We bought you a Tricycle and a Jake the Neverland Pirate helmet. We've taken you to the park a little more this summer because it seems like it's going to be a short summer (it's pretty much over) and you seem to enjoy it and have taken to peddling both forwards and backwards in no time!


You are such an amazing, sweet, intelligent, strong, and wonderful son! I love you so much!
